WOW!!! It's working now! I tried changing the video rendering and now it's working!! And it's VERY strange, because that's obviously one of the first things I tried initially, but only NOW it's working. Glad to know that you could solve your problem. Yes! And thanks for your help, really! -) After reading your messages, I was more relaxed to realize that I wasn't the only one to have this problem. I tried to reinstall SW 6.0b and restore defaults, but the problem continued. I used so far the VLC Player without any problems. My SW 6.0b program (which had been working perfectly) crashed when trying to load videos (no matter what the format/length of the videos) and when I was trying to make a sync ( eg via the Sync Point). I came here to expose a problem almost the same as Val's. Below is a larger image where you can see the upper menu.
